Re-brand for Utility Collections Ltd
Rebrand for Utility Collections.
Local company, Utility Collections, set up in 2017, has seen significant growth of averaging 150% year on year.
Based in the utility heartland of northwest England, the business has seen turnover increase significantly and a range of well-known, national utility providers are opting to use the business to support their debt collection team due to their unique and successful approach. To reflect the growth and professionalisation of the business, they have undergone an extensive re-brand to project this.
The company is a business-to-business debt collection service for the utilities sector, with a unique edge by focussing on service and resolution to debt rather than a heavy-handed approach. Building on a successful business model of recruiting highly experienced and knowledgeable utility employees who know what to look for, ensures that solutions to problems are prioritised and resolution is a primary focus before disconnection is necessary. The team are trained to focus on treating customers fairly, with compassion and respect, which supports brand protection of their main utility provider.
The business collected £20+ million debt last year on behalf of utility providers - a 150% uplift year on year. The successful strategy of finding solutions and dealing with this sensitive situation with compassion, which in turn protects the reputation of the utility company, has aided this growth.
CEO and Founder Gary Harrison said “Utility Collections is disrupting an antiquated industry through bespoke methods and a laser focus on positive customer outcomes. You can guarantee that a lot of the time, the debt can be down to something else, such as inaccurate meter readings, erroneous transfers, theft of supply etc, so our team are able to investigate potential issues to eliminate the problem and resolve the payment issue for the utility provider going forward. The customer service angle is what we pride ourselves on and as an outcome we get the results and everyone is happy”.
The business supports utility providers from cradle to grave with their debt requirements.
Notes to Editor:
Utility Collections is based in Poulton-Le-Fylde and has gone from strength to strength each year. Head count has increased by a third since established and sits around 30 and is growing. CEO Gary Harrison saw the opportunity to change the way debt was collected, to include respect and investigation around resolution and therefore opened Utility Collections in 2017 to achieve this.
